09,

-FILTERED AWAY FROM VAMPIRES + Tony Foster + Dr Hix-
When's something going to be done about the vampires, huh? One of them killed me not long ago, and more than just me by the sound of it. You keep saying they're taken care of, but nothing happened to him. I think he's gone now, alright? No punishment, no anything.

As ek wou sterf nie, sou ek bly in Afrika, huh? Ek wil nie hier bly nie. How about I go to dem moordenaar and get me some dem weapons, huh?

You hate vampires as much as I do? You let me know. We see if we can't get some oplossings. 'Results', huh?

Same person, different focus. I like to remind people so they don't forget. Sometimes these things have a way of becoming out of sight out of mind.

You're by far not the first person to suggest extreme measures. One of the biggest advocates is half-vampire herself.

You can't judge an entire group based on the actions of a handful.

Self-hate. Seen it a million times before.. They're not extreme for what he did. He set the bar, I'm only trying to meet him there.

Ja, ja. Already heard that argument. Same answers; you read the rest and then present a new viewpoint, huh?

It's essentially racism.

Have you considered the fact that there are vampire wardens here?

I hate cannibals too. If it's racism to hate the creatures whose life depends on your death? Then ja, I'll gladly be a racist.

You know death doesn't need to enter the picture, and you ignored my second point.

No. Warden or inmate, they still need humans to survive. Same argument, regardless of their rank or position.

How can death not enter the picture, huh?

I've donated blood to the vampire population here before, when supplies were low. It's just like a Red Cross blood drive: sanitary, safe and non-invasive. They don't even need to touch you, and you don't even give enough to feel woozy.

Our bodies replenish blood regularly. Donating once every couple of weeks wouldn't kill anyone.

I nearly died because your 'safe' little blood drive wasn't satisfactory to one.

You know, I don't even agree with the other side of this debate, but it makes it impossible to support your side of the issue when you people are always diminishing or disregarding entirely the experiences of those of us who have been v-- attacked.

And that individual was a menace. I hope his warden dealt with him in a satisfactory matter, because unfortunately, that wasn't within my jurisdiction.

I'm not disregarding what you went through. I know how much you suffered. I'm saying that judging an entire group based on a few, including the one that hurt you, is wrong.

His warden didn't do anything, and neither did the rest of you. You all washed your hands of it, just like you're doing now! And whenever any of us speak out about it to the rest of the population, this is what we're met with!

[WHOOPS LOL guess he never really worked out his Armand feelings. He takes a deep breath and then forces a calmer tone.]

It's simply... cause for frustration, from time to time.

His punishment was up to his warden, and I truly am sorry that it wasn't taken care of. Speaking only for myself, I couldn't do anything because we had a confidentiality agreement. I would have happily confronted his warden otherwise, and I did let you know that. I'm not blaming you for your silence--I just want you to know I did what I could.

I understand your frustration, and I don't expect you to suppress it. That being said, there's a line between what happened to you and what Danny is suggesting, and it's his points I'm objecting to.

I'm talking about what the rest of you failed to do after it became public. If his warden didn't do anything, then the rest of you should have, and you DIDN'T. And so I had to take matters into my own hands, and it STILL changed nothing!

You don't have any idea what it feels like to experience what he-- the-- that bite. If you did, you would understand Danny's anger.

It takes your body at least two months to fully recover from giving blood once. You know that, huh? Why should I put myself at risk for their survival? What about when they leave this place and go back to a world where blood isn't doled out to them, huh? It's not an argument to say that they can get it without killing right now. They kill anyway and it's still hurting us to help them.
