We've been out of blood for the beasts for some time, huh? What's to stop us from just not feeding them anymore? Can't we lock them up and just let them starve? They live forever, all right? So there'd be no "death toll" or worry of them coming back. We just lock them up and let them starve like the monsters they are.

Why is everyone treating them like they're some kind of humans, huh? I could say the same about some of the other creatures here too, but they haven't become dangerous yet.

[She laughs and waves her hand dismissively.]

I shouldn't nap in the middle of the day anyway. Come on. I'll... scrounge up a bottle of wine or something.

Alright. [steps by her so she can close the door, tugging on the sleeve of his hoodie]

[Nudging the door shut with a small motion, she yawns and stretches her arms before rummaging in a small armoire quietly.]

You can sit at the table. Or the couch. Or the bed. Or the floor. I guess it doesn't really matter.

[With a small, triumphant noise, she proffers an unopened bottle of wine.]

Just like old times. Though I guess they're not very old to you. [She said with a small laugh.]

[he didn't laugh at that, sitting on the edge of her bed] How long have you been here?

[She works on prying the cork off the bottle with her corkscrew without much finesse or grace. It's kind of brutish, actually.]

Uh...

[The cork pops off with minimal damage and she walks over to the bed, handing him the bottle. She looks thoughtfully at the ceiling for a moment or two.]

Five months in a couple of days. I'm having a hard time believing it myself.

Wow.. that's a long time. [smiles softly, accepting the bottle from her] I think I get an inmate tomorrow.

[She takes a seat next to him on the bed and then flops down on her back, legs dangling over the edge.]

Oh yeah? Who do you think it's gonna be? Anybody you're particularly interested in?
