04,

[Filtered to all HUMANS (non-vampire, non-Time Lord, etc); ask if not certain]
We've been out of blood for the beasts for some time, huh? What's to stop us from just not feeding them anymore? Can't we lock them up and just let them starve? They live forever, all right? So there'd be no "death toll" or worry of them coming back. We just lock them up and let them starve like the monsters they are.

Why is everyone treating them like they're some kind of humans, huh? I could say the same about some of the other creatures here too, but they haven't become dangerous yet.

This was proposed the last time the creatures lost their meal tickets. As you can imagine, the response then was much the same as it is now: everybody scrambling to defend the monsters that prey on them.

And, if you're wondering how the story of last time ended: they killed several of our populace quite horrifically.

Then why hasn't anyone done anything, huh? We outnumber them. There's got to be enough of us to do something.

Once you've been here longer, you'll realise that things rarely get done here until it's too late. I'm sure once several more people have been attacked, more will begin to see reason, but you'll still have to fight those who wish to appease the vampires.

The best solution would be what I proposed in the past: kill them and don't allow their wardens to return them until this is finished.

I'll keep that in mind, huh. Thanks.

I thought they come back when they're killed? What does their warden have to do with it?
