[And Danny made his way to the room, glad he at least remembered the general layout of the Barge. He couldn't be bothered to remember things like specific room numbers, people he had barely known, or the details of everything.. but he had always had a decent sense of direction and was good with faces. The inmate knocked on the door not too long after he said he would be over, running a hang over his khaki button-down. The Barge was pretty damn cold after Liberia and Sierra Leone.]

[Sexby had been digging through his chest full of clothes, looking for the spare doublet and cloak he normally gave to Judas, and after finding them had left them folded on a nearby chair. Danny was back, which he actually felt a little sorry for. He seemed like a normal sort of man, and perhaps they were the ones who suffer most on board.

He got up, and answered the door, standing aside to let him in,] Evening, sir.

"It's good to see you, my man." [Archer offered as he stepped into Sexby's wife's room. Though the inmate really wasn't fond of the idea of being aboard again, he certainly knew how to adapt and to make the best of a shit situation; it was how he'd spent the last several years of his life.]

"You too, sir." [He shut the door and waved vaguely at where he'd set out the clothes he'd found on a chair, and switched to his 17th century Dutch, which was far closer to Afrikaans than modern Dutch anyway.] "I found you a cloak too. If you do not mind it being muddy and a little old." [He paused, and stood back a distance,] "Can I get you a drink?" [Not that he had much more than tea at his disposal right now.]

[Archer glanced at the pile and then nodded, moving over toward the chair but not bothering to pick the items up at present. Instead he returned his gaze to his acquaintance again, a bit surprised by the Dutch. He could understand the majority of it, even if it was not quite the same, but Archer was used to speaking in English more than Afrikaans even, so he wasn't expecting it. When he responded, it was in Afrikaans.] "Not at all. Thank you."

[Then, to the latter, he shook his head and gave a smile.] "Not unless you have some vodka, huh?"

[Sexby has... better memories of the Dutch than England, at any rate, so feels a little comfortable having someone he can at least follow, even if the language will never quite match up.]

"Sorry, I do not keep such things here. They are a little uncommon to me." [He paced a little around the burned patch in their carpet and asked, curiously,] "Know you how long you have been gone? It seems to be longer than I can remember, I must confess."

[Archer gave a disappointed nod, then shrugged to the latter. He reached into his pockets to double-check that his smokes were still there for a moment, but didn't actually take them out; it was a comfort thing.] "I've been home nearly eight months, huh? I don't know what that was here."

[Sexby nodded a little in understanding, and stuck his hand into the pocket of his breeches.] "That sounds quite accurate, but I have since been home and lost track of time on board. Did anything of note happen in your time away from us?"

[Archer stiffened just a hint at the question, glancing down and then looking back up to Sexby again. His mouth formed a line as he answered with a little less enthusiasm than a moment before.] "I got sent back to experience the rest of my life. Didn't realize it was the second time until I came back here, you know? It's a time I'd rather be forgetting."

[Sexby noticed him stiffen a little, and when he explained, he understood exactly why,] "That... I can understand why. I shall not mention it once more. I had not imagined such a thing possible."

"Me neither." [Danny gave a few small nods, more dismissive than anything else. Then the inmate collected the pile Sexby had laid out for him, planning on only wearing the garments mainly around his room; he had a reputation to protect, after all. The smuggler gave another nod, more final, and looked over to Sexby again.] "I'll see you around, huh? I still need to get settled in again."
